Broker
Management Clinic
Who is required to attend a Clinic?
Effective August
9, 2001, each licensed real estate broker must attend a Broker Management Clinic as follows:
- Original applicants prior to original licensure as a real estate broker.
- Associate brokers prior to changing status to an active-status designated*
broker, unless the broker has taken the course in the current license
period**.
- Each active-status designated* broker must attend a broker management
clinic once every two-year licensing period.
*A self-employed broker
is a designated broker pursuant to A.R.S. § 32-2101(20).
**Effective immediately, the Department will interpret the phrase "in the
current license period" as "within the preceding 23 months." Therefore, a broker
who is applying to change to an active status designated broker must demonstrate
attendance at a Broker Management Clinic unless the broker has attended Clinic
during the 23 months immediately preceding the application to change status.
